Upbeat Grooves
Red Jackson are a rootsy rhythm & blues band from England, playing American music of the '30s-'50s: blues, boogie, and rock'n'roll.
Who Do We Think We Are?
Originally a trio, Red Jackson formed in 2005, combining the Smokestack front man, Phil Mills (guitars, vocals, harmonicas) with the Swamp Things rhythm section: Teej Osborne (upright bass) and Chicken King Schultz (drums). Since then we've worked together regularly, mainly around the South of England. We've played weddings, garden parties, vintage events (e.g. Rhythm Riot at Camber Sands; and Racecoast Rockin' in Finland), food events (e.g. BBC Good Food Festival), beer festivals, classic car shows and street parties. We've also recorded and released 4 CDs. Although we now work mainly as a guitar/bass duo, the trio with drummer is still available for bookings.
